Jeanne Pauley – KTB Volunteer of the Month

Jeanne Pauley is a 20-year resident of Central Texas and a charter member of Keep Bastrop County Beautiful. As KTB’s June Volunteer of the Month, she is a prime example of the old adage ‘one person can make a difference.’

According to her colleagues, Jeanne is the first to volunteer for nearly every event, and pitches in with a quiet, unassuming manner and an ever-present smile. She’s highly dependable and has a strong sense of follow-through, never faltering on a project once she’s pledged her support. In the previous two months alone, Jeanne has lead presentations for two area organizations and secured several new KBCB business and individual memberships. In addition, she connected community leaders with a company interested in partnering with the city of Paige to organize the town’s first ever community cleanup; moreover, she recently held a demonstration on how to construct a rain barrel. Her audience was a group of locals tudents, and Jeanne made the experience enjoyable, keeping her sense of humor as she took them step-by-step through the process.

Jeanne has a gift for developing activities that children love to participate in. She chaired KBCB’s Earth Event at McKinney Roughs and taught children and adults alike about the life cycle and environmental significance of worms. She is also active with the Boys and and Girls Club, as well as Keep Smithville Beautiful. Her past career experiences coupled with her service as a Master Naturalist have provided KBCB with invaluable insight and knowledge. The members of Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep Bastrop County Beautiful wish to thank Jeanne for all she has done, and will continue to do, to keep Texas beautiful!
